Glimmers

A glimmer is the exact opposite of a trigger. It is a cue, brings one back to a sense of joy or safety. This can be anything from catching a view of the skyline of your favorite city to seeing a picture of your pet.

Glimmers can be helpful in regulating our overwhelmed nervous systems by helping bring your body into the “rest state”.

How to discover your Glimmer

  1. Close your eyes and picture a moment of peace.
  2. Think of a time where you felt safe and cared for
  3. Think of a loved one, this could even be a pet!
